Palm Trees

During the pandemic, when travel stopped and the world felt small, I found myself painting palm trees. I couldn't go anywhere and palms became a symbol of that longing. Their silhouettes carried me to places I missed, places filled with sun, ocean air, and laughter.
Some of my favorite memories live under the shade of palm trees: gatherings with family, conversations with friends, and the kind of simple joy that you only realize is priceless once it's gone. Painting palms became a way of holding onto those moments, of keeping them alive on canvas.
That's why I paint palm trees. They aren't just tropical scenery, they symbols of rest, connection and hope. When someone hangs a palm tree in their space, I hope it reminds them of their own moments of joy and connection, and that even when life feels uncertain, there's still beauty worth reaching for.
